TURBOSOUND'S FLASHLINE is the first true four-way line array enclosure of its type, using cone drivers dedicated to reproducing vocal midrange frequencies in keeping with Turbosound design philosophy, working them within a narrower bandwidth to maximize power handling and improve performance over three-way systems.

To ensure all Turbosound distributors experienced the full impact of a complete Flashline system, Turbosound arranged a European launch which was held at the König Pilsener Arena in Oberhausen, Germany on the 14th March 2012.  König Pilsener Arena, formerly known as the Arena Oberhausen, is an indoor sports arena which has a good reputation for sound coverage and would provide a great environment for a live PA demonstration.

The launch was aimed at current distributors and also rental companies, Paxt Ltd were represented by Michael Garth and David Burke they were also delighted with the response received from their own customers with attendees from Hungary, Serbia & Montenegro, Poland and Czech Republic who in turn also brought their own customers based in the rental sector.

The day begun with some background music played through the Flex arrays while attendees arrived. The atmosphere was informal which allowed Paxt to meet and greet their distributors and also a chance for Turbosound to show off a big show rig.

At 11.30am Simon Blackwood (Managing Director for Turbosound), greeted the audience and introduced Dominic Harter (Sales Director for Turbosound), who presented the Flashline system, the Turbosounds philosophy on Flashline and all its features and benefits.   Dominic was followed by a presentation from Thomas Vestergaard from Lab Gruppen/Lake, he spoke about products such as the LM26 and LM44, their features such as how the EQ worked and why they chose to use Dante.

There was also a short demonstration by Thomas showing how sending a frequency sweep to the loudspeaker can analyse the performance of the woofer/tweeter without damaging the components –so as a rental company you can see how water damage or abuse has affected the loudspeaker.

During and following lunch there were on-going demonstrations of the Flashline line array. There was a repeat presentation at about 2.30pm for those that arrived late.

Michael Garth, Product and Technology Specialist for Paxt said, “The Flashline demo was a great opportunity to experience the arrays in a large venue with some high quality equipment. The system itself proved to be exceptionally loud –clear, high frequencies paired with ground-shaking subwoofers, the perfect loudspeaker system for the large events, and summer.”

The following comments were made but two of the Paxt Distributors:

Andras Lerner, Managing Director for Colossal said, “I am really impressed with the quality and power of the Flashline system.  I will definitely explore the possibility of purchasing a system with my key rental companies in Hungary.”

Marko Perica, a rental company owner who attended the demo with the Paxt Serbian distributor ARD said, “I was really pleased with the sound of the system, we have worked with the Turbosound Flex Array for a while, FlashLine has taken it up a level and I am very keen to take on a Flashline system”.
