PALME Middle East is the region’s longest standing trade event for the professional sound, light, audio visual, music, entertainment and systems integration industries.  Hosted at the Dubai International Convention Centre the show received a high volume of visitors and it was also the shows 10th anniversary.

V.V Sons Ltd, the Paxt Ltd appointed distributor for D&M Professional and Allen & Heath, exhibited at the Palme show with two impressive stands.  On their main stand they had a selection of Allen & Heath XONE, iLive products as well as the debut of the GLD digital console.  Their second stand was solely for Denon DJ, the SC3900 controller made its first appearance at the Palme show which was an exciting moment for V.V Sons.  There was also a chance for all visitors to mix with the MC3000 controller, where they could understand and experience the controller first hand.  V.V Sons also gave away a free set of DNHP700 headphones to the DJ’s who attracted the largest crowd.

To help with their stand Paxt deployed Michael Garth (Paxt Product & Technology Specialist) who provided technical help for all Allen & Heath and D&M Professional products on show and he also conducted two seminars to cover both brands.

The first seminar arranged was a presentation on the Allen & Heath GLD digital mixer, Michael went through all its features and benefits and discussed why it would be a great product to use for any live sound application. The seminar was a great success with a good attendance from visitors of the show.

The second seminar covered a selection of the XONE range by Allen & Heath and also the new SC3900 and MC3000 by Denon DJ.  This was also a success and Michael was really pleased with the outcome and he received some fantastic feedback.

One of the highlights of the show was the competition held at the D&M Pro stand; the chance to win your very own MC3000 controller.  As visitors entered the show or walked by the stands they were given a coupon and on this was a multiple choice question.  The completed coupon was put in container and on the last day of the show Michael drew a winner.

Michael Garth said, “It was really exciting to see the DJ’s getting to grips with Denon DJ controllers – especially those new to the technology as they quickly become comfortable and familiar with the equipment.  This is encouraging for Paxt as we should see an increase of sales as more DJ’s move across to the Denon products.” he went on to say “In regards to Allen & Heath; these was real interest in GLD as rental companies and installers understood what the GLD mixing system offers and the power is given to the mix engineers.”

Mr Davis, Sales Manager for V.V Sons Ltd said, “Today’s youth are in sync with the revolutions in technology and are forever seeking the latest gadgets and gizmos available in the market, to suit their needs.  It seems that Allen & Heath has truly understood the mindset of the younger generation and their A&H GLD is one such product that has captured not just the hearts but also the ears of Audio Engineers. “ Mr Davis added, “PALME 2012 was a great chance to meet some of the best in the industry as well as several new additions into the A/V industry, all under one roof.   The Denon DJ segment was extremely successful after the introduction of DNSC3900 and MC3000, as youngsters queued to try the new machine. There was also a raffle draw held and the great prizes to be won attracted plenty.  When compared with last year’s turnout, the exhibition may not have been as busy, but the show did generate a lot of heat from serious buyers and audio veterans.”
