Nigerian Church, Evangelical Church equiped with Allen & Heath

Evangelical Church of West Africa (ECWA) is one of the largest Church denominations in Nigeria, reaching about five million people. ECWA is a partner church of the international Christian Mission Organisation: Sudan Interior Mission (SIM). It was founded in 1954 when the SIM-related churches (initially in Nigeria) came together to form an indigenous body. Since that time, mission stations, Bible Schools, academic schools, and medical programs have been transferred to ECWA leadership.

Throughout Nigeria but especially in the central regions, ECWA churches are growing rapidly. Some churches have experienced as much as 400% growth. Churches in the Northern (traditionally more Islamic) parts of the country are also growing. There are currently more than five thousand ECWA congregations with more than five million attenders and a church membership of over three million people.

Evangelical Church of West Africa approached Paxt Ltd’s Nigerian distributor, Emeka Michael of ET Quake Multimedia Nig Ltd. They required a powerful and reliable analogue mixer, and with Emeka’s support they invested in an Allen & Heath GL2800-32.

John Ukah who is the in-house sound engineer for Evangelical said the following “I find it really hard 2 fault it except the only thing missing is the lack of meter bridge. It gets the job done and it has handled everything I’ve thrown at it without complaining” John went on to say ”We are considering going digital in a few months and the iLive is definitely an eye catcher. Special thanks to Emeka Michael of ET-Quake Multimedia for there outstanding sales support.”

‘This is another technology upgrade from E T Quake multimedia’ commented Tim Pollard
